The counter didn't update at midnight. iOS refreshes widgets on its own schedule and can briefly lag after restarts or Low Power Mode. Opening the app nudges it immediately.
I bought Ember on my old phone. Settings → Restore Purchases signs the unlock back in on any device using the same Apple ID. No account needed.
Is my data backed up anywhere? No — everything stays on your device by design. If you delete the app, its contents go with it, so keep your original photos in your photo library.
Can I change how the counter reads? Yes — Settings → The counter offers four wordings, from "days loved and missed" to a plain count.
Purchases run through Apple, so refunds do too: reportaproblem.apple.com. If something about Ember let you down, we'd like to know regardless.
