The short version: Ember collects nothing. The photos, names, and dates you add exist only on your device. There is no account, no server, no analytics, and no tracking of any kind.
Nothing. Ember has no backend. We cannot see your data, and neither can anyone else through us. The app makes no network requests except the purchase flow below.
The one-time unlock is processed by Apple and, on our side, by RevenueCat (our purchase infrastructure), which receives a random device identifier to remember that your purchase is valid. It receives none of your memorial content — no names, no dates, no photos. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
Delete the app and everything Ember stored goes with it. Removing a person inside the app removes their photos and dates immediately. There is no copy anywhere else.
Ember is not directed at children under 13 and collects no data from anyone.
If this policy ever changes, the current version will always be at this address.
